Well... here it is...
Another lousy personal website, rushed together in minutes.

This website is divided into two sections:

Mister Ed's Photos   and   Johns Photos

Click on either above to continue after you look at the rest of this page.

As of this writing,  1/30/2004, both Mister Ed and John are doing fine.  In good health and fine spirits... and wintering in Sun City West Arizona.   We still reside the rest of the year outside of Empire Michigan.

NEW---  The addition to the house is complete.  Sadly, I have no photos of the finished job-- Thanks to my friend Keith Farley, I've got a few photos just after the siding was done and the drywall mudding began

NEW---  While painting in the Arizona condo I discovered that we had X-Ray Glass in one of the doors.

We had a wonderful surprise this past May when great friends from my NBC days came to Michigan for a short visit.

Gene and Jane Garnes stopped by for an afternoon and their visit was the highlight of 2003.

They live in Hackettstown NJ and are doing great and quite happy.

I worked with Gene at the NBC Radio Network where we both kept the equipment running.

You could say he retired to model airplanes and video production (they have some great travelogues), while I retired to Rubber Ducks.

Much to my amazement, at the 2003 Dayton Hamvention I met Gene Jr (his son) and John Marrin and family, both people I worked with while at NBC. It was a record breaking year for finding old comrades from NBC!

Leaving For Arizona

Here are some photos from our December 2003 departure from Michigan.  Above and to the left were taken the day before leaving, when I had to manually spread gravel (thankfully it was on site) up the driveway so that we could get the Pinto (on car dolly) up to the road. That was quite a memorable experience. Above and to the left were taken the morning we left and shows the snow that fell overnight.
This shot is of MrEd as we were about to enjoy a gentleman's breakfast at a McDonalds somewhere between Ft Wayne and Indianapolis.  As you can see, there was still snow on the ground (and on the Pinto). By the time we stopped for lunch (southern IL) there was no more snow to be seen.  That was fine with us.
here's a view of the corner of our yard in Sun City West.

That's our grapefruit tree.  You can see just a few of it's fruits, but rest assured there is a bountiful harvest still left on the tree.

I must admit that I was never much for grapefruits until I met this tree, but now I'm hooked.
