Radio Equipped Lawn Tractor

I guess the ultimate in excesses is to have a UHF FM transceiver mounted on your lawn tractor.

Now I can ride to the back of the lot and be in radio communications the whole way.  It's an old Motorola Moxy FM transceiver setup to talk through the 444.725 wI0OK repeater in Glen Arbor.    It works quite well,  as the radio has just enough volume to overpower the noise made by the tractor engine when it's running.

By the way... a bit of trivia... for those who might be interested-- YES, you can get a Cub Cadet 129 lawn tractor into the back of a full sized GM van.... with the mower deck attached.   There's about 2 inches to spare-- at the most.
